Insights AudaxCeph Advantage

AudaxCeph Advantage is distinguished from other similar products for analysis of lateral or PA X-ray images. We can model individual analysis type using intelligent cognitive features, add built-in knowledge, design the reports and reuse it on multiple occasions. Anyone can build their own custom complex analysis type from scratch, using an existing type or by using a library which contains measurements and elements.

Geometry creation

Based on the drawing of the analysis type (left), we place landmarks, planes and other geometry into the computer tool for modelling analysis types. The following are available: landmarks (freestanding, plane cross-section, a point on a plane, convergent point, etc.), planes (freestanding, through point, split angle, parallel, perpendicular, etc.), arcs (freestanding, through points, concentric), and curves (predefined silhouettes, through points silhouettes, etc.).

Measurement definition

The next step in modelling the analysis type is setting measurements on the basis of a new idea or familiar analysis type. We can set length and angle measurements, calculated measurements, table parameters based on other measurements, gender or age).

Measurement presentation

We can display the measurements with on-screen info boxes, as wiggle charts, configurable harmonic box or configurable measurement table.


Because of a great number of geometry elements, measurements and tools for presentation thereof, the canvas view often gets overcrowded and non-transparent. Therefore, it is recommended to place individual elements on layers which can be shown or hidden, as needed. Place an X-ray image on the Radiograph layer, place all the elements required for tracing on the Analysis layer, and the elements to be shown in the report on the Report layer. Any number of layers can be used on which any number of elements can be placed. It is also recommended to create a new layer to show infoboxes or measurement tables.

Automatic, Concurrent or Sequential tracing

Trace the radiograph in one of thefollowing three ways: (a) AUTOMATIC - where computer finds landmarks in a few seconds, (b) CONCURRENTLY – by showing all geometry (all the required landmarks and auxiliary planes that can be moved to the appropriate location) or (c) SEQUENTIALLY – by placing landmarks onto the radiograph on after another.

Tissue behaviour

Each analysis type can be prepared so that it can envisage the facial soft tissue behaviour on the basis of simulated orthodontic and surgical treatments.

Standard values

Enter standard measurement values for the treated population in table form.  Then we add each value to the model measurement. The measurements are now standard-value-aware measurements (median and standard deviation) for a specific patient type (e.g. child, mixed dentition, adult etc.).

Report Definition and Export to Excel

Define measurement groups (e.g. Skeletal relations, Dental relations, etc.) and set measurements and their order in print-out.

MS Excel template can be adjusted according to the analysis type. We can enter new measurements for each print-out. this way we can obtain print-outs of different complexity and varied design.

Automatic reports

Define which reports will be created when saving the analysis. This way we can save table print-outs, layer content, screenshots, cephalometric grid in scalable vector format or as PDF. After saving the created analysis, we will be able to access results and evaluations generated by AudaxCeph Advantage at any time.

Automatic superimposition

The simplest way to create superpositions is by drag & dropping them on top of each other.  The link method is defined in this step. This way we can set the first link between landmarks S-N, the next link between ANS and NL and similar. For each link, define one or multiple print-out types which are then attached to the superposition in a similar way as with the analysis. Saving the superposition automatically gives you a number of useful documents.
